After debuting in 1960, the Jazz Bass dominated the electric bass market throughout the decade, and it continues to be a favourite to this day. The Fender Classic Series 60s Jazz Bass provides all the traditional feel and tone of those landmark instruments, making it ideal for anyone wishing to capture that legendary sound.
With its classic offset waist, the body fits the player really well and its alder construction promotes a full frequency tone with excellent mid-range so you can cut through the busiest of mixes. The Olympic White finish and a tortoiseshell pickguard are an extremely classy combination that looks fantastic from any angle.
The maple neck features a “C” profile that is slim and comfortable in the hand. Fender have kept the traditional 7.25” radius on the Rosewood fretboard and combined it with 20 vintage-style frets for that classic rounded feel that made the original Jazz Bass so popular.
Ensuring every bit of your tone reaches audiences are two vintage-voiced single-coils featuring Alnico magnets. These pickups are really versatile and can be manipulated to go from thick and warm to bright and punchy with ease. The Fender Classic Series 60s Jazz Bass feels at home in a vast range of musical genres making it the perfect bass for working musicians who often have to go from playing soul to hard rock at the drop of a hat.
